A Texas Landmark Since 1859

The building at 128 W Blanco Rd has stood at the heart of Boerne for over 160 years. What began as a stagecoach stop and inn for travelers has grown into one of the most recognized dining destinations in the Texas Hill Country. The Kendall Restaurant carries that legacy forward, bringing together locally sourced ingredients, prime beef, signature cocktails, and the kind of hospitality that has always defined this corner of Boerne.

Rooted in History, Focused on Quality

Every great restaurant has a story. Ours started in 1859 when this building fi rst opened its doors to travelers moving through the Texas Hill Country. The limestone walls and the proportions of the rooms are original. Over the decades, the restaurant in Boerne became a gathering place for locals and a destination for anyone exploring the region.

Today, The Kendall Restaurant continues that tradition with a focus on what matters most: USDA Prime beef sourced for quality and consistency, locally grown ingredients whenever the season allows, and cooking that respects the fl avors on the plate without overcomplicating them. Our grill menu features hand-cut steaks fi nished with bone marrow butter, Snake River Farms American Wagyu burgers, fresh Gulf and Alaskan seafood, and Texas classics that hold their own alongside any of it.

When you dine with us, you are not just having a meal. You are sitting down in a room that has been hosting that same conversation for more than 160 years.
